Right from his childhood, Surinder Shanker Anand is blessed with innate artistic abilities. As a kid, he used to draw on the cement floor with colored medicine tablets.

Sketching or painting is like meditation to him. This is more of a happening, where subject and object merge into each other and one transcends the concept of time, space and unit. It's amazing that this phenomenon takes place when "you" are not there. Anyway, while he enjoys this creative happening, the manifestation or outcome may be enjoyed by others.

Shanker's artistic expression is engaged with the subjects related to humans, nature and spirituality. He likes to sketch using pencil, paint and digital electronic tools such as Wacom Cintiq Pen/Tablet, Corel Painter, CorelDRAW, Adobe Photoshop, ZBrush etc.

Shanker is a Software professional and lives in Chandigarh - the City Beautiful, situated in Northern India at Shivalik foothills.
